About MEC Marine

MEC Marine was founded in March 2008, as the New Zealand agent of Coppercoat into New Zealand and supplying Coppercoat up to the Pacific Islands as well.

MEC Marine has created strong relationships with renowned boat builders and marine firms from the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia and is able to provide you with first class marine products currently available on the world market, including:

• Coppercoat - marine antifoul paint; provides 10 years of continual protection from one single treatment saving you time and expense and a much greener  environmental option as well.

• Rustler Yachts - beautifully handcrafted vessels built for blue water cruising available in 24' 36' 42' and 44';  Rustler Yachts has a world wide reputation for building the highest quality boats from their exceptional boat yard in Falmouth, Cornwall, United Kingdom.

• MEC Marine Services has grown as a result of early advice and assistance with Coppercoat applications. MEC Marine Services now offers assistance and a full Coppercoat application service. For owners who are yet to migrate to Coppercoat MEC Marine services offers traditional antifouling applications to the greater Auckland region as well.

The Team

Director - Mitch Campbell
Mitch started MEC Marine Ltd in March 2008, after returning from a four years working in England for the prestigious Yachting World Magazine. Prior to this, Mitch cut his teeth under Tim Porter working for Boating New Zealand and NZ Fishing News Magazine for a number of years.

Mitch runs the sales and project management side of MEC Marine and regularly assists the application team as well. Mitch is still involved with Yachting World Magazine, and is the New Zealand Agent for Advertising Sales for the magazine.

Operations Manager - Paul Kingston
Paul Kingston has been with MEC Marine for almost two years, Paul's knowledge and expertise with applications is to the highest level having spent 18 years in the marine industry. His patience and approach to jobs is often commented on by our clients as first rate and will go the extra mile to see our client's expectations are exceeded. Paul is a qualified engineer, and when not working or playing on his day sailor or RIB, Paul is a dedicated crew member on the Auckland Coastguard team.
